Wool Covers For Sale

These are some diaper covers that I made for personal use. My son Jack is modeling them.

This is the first cover I made.

It came out too small for Jack so I sold it on ebay.

I wanted to see how the wrap would work on a smaller tushy.

This is the second cover I made.

It fits Jack so I kept it. It is a bit snug on him and I enlarged the pattern after making this.

Procare (plasticy fabric) is thinner than wool but less breathable. I prefer the wool.

Here are some of the diaper covers I've made for Jack. I'm planning to make diaper covers for sale, but first I'm working on my pattern and technique. The first covers I made from a single layer of heavy wool, and fold over elastic  binding. I found that the binding got stained easily, and didn't wash well in the eucalan I use for washing wool. I also found that sewing on the binding was a hassle. I kept changing the design, first enlarging it, then adding gussets. My newest design uses 2 layers of a thinner wool, turned and topstitched, with no exposed elastic. I also added gussets to the pattern and enlarged it, as the first covers I made just barely fit Jack.I've been testing the covers on various dolls as well to get an idea of how they would fit on a range of sizes.
